How can I keep from singing...

I've had several songs that have just been in my mind this week... and for the last hour or so... the one in the title has been "echoing in my soul." Just a catchy little tune and has really gotten me through the last hour or so, while I'm grading papers.
We started Basketball Oct. 1 (Wed.)... at 5:30 am! That's right... in the MORNING! It was nice though, because then we were home by 4. Kinda nice. Things are going well at school and we're about in the 7th or 8th week (believe 8th) of school. Hard to believe it.
We had a milestone today... Joel cleaned his room ALL BY HIMSELF today! And it was VERY clean! I'd like to say that he just did what mommy and daddy asked him to do... but it was more of a response to a "gonna take your cars away, unless you clean your room" threat. :-) But he did a very good job and I was very proud of him.
Jeanise and I went and saw the movie FIREPROOF on Saturday. It was a very emotional movie, but very well done. Kirk Cameron did a fantastic acting job and the message of the movie was EXTREEMLY well done. I've had so many friends... close to my age... that have gone through some kind of difficulty in their marriages and ended up in a divorce. I think about them all the time and can't even imagine (and DON'T want to even imagine) something like that happening to me. I love my wife very much. And we've learned so much from each other in the 14 + years that we've been married and we compliment each other really well. I just don't see my life without her or without my kids. I believe that if I look at the kind of love that God has for me, that I can have that kind of love for my wife and my kids.
OK... time to go to bed. Everyone else is in bed, so I'd better get there too.

Mike forgot to mention one important fact about hitting into the double play. In high school baseball, his nickname was "Treadmill" because he ran so long in one place. Are you sure you were safe at first base? Sorry Mike, but I could not help myself. It is one of the best nicknames I've ever heard.

Dad?!?!?! Leave it up to you to bring out the embarrassing stories! :-P I still like "sloth"... but TREADMILL followed closely afterwords.
