Please just pray for me...

Been sitting here for about 3-4 minutes trying to come up with some clever or funny thing to write about... when I just need prayers for peace. Peace about what I'm doing in my career... peace about not getting the job I wanted... peace about the unknown future about my job/career... peace that I'm making the right decisions... or more like, peace that I'm doing/going where God wants me to be/go.
The kids were watching VeggieTales the other day in the car and the story of Jonah came up. Reminding me that God is going to be faithful and guide us where he wants us to go. I've been blessed by the doors that have been opened for me and walking thru those. Now I've experienced doors opening that I'm not getting to walk thru, and that's rather troubling. Maybe I was just a bit "over-confident" and "cocky" and the doors closing is the result of my actions. Who knows? It's a humbling experience and I guess that I'm sitting in the belly of the whale waiting for the next door for God to open for me. Please pray for me for peace of mind and peace of heart...

It's all good...

Just some updated pictures of the 2 rug-rats. Can you believe that Joel's costume was once worn by the Caped Crusader himself?!?!?! Yep! That was my Halloween costume from when I was 5... Bob (my brother) was Robin. Mom made our costumes when we lived in Edmond before. We were both HUGE into Batman and Robin and we wore those costumes out! I think that I have a bit of "worry" here... He's fitting into that costume at age 4! AH!!!!!
We got a picture of "cool Lindsay". She's wearing her sunglasses (doctor told us that it might help with her squinting her eyes so much) and we got her to wear a hat too. We were on our way to a birthday party and I took this with her in the back seat of the van. She almost looks like a tourist!
No new news on the job-front. Still waiting to hear back from Deer Creek about my schedule for next year... waiting to see if Santa Fe will have a job posted in the next 4 weeks in Math or Business... got a phone call from another school wanting to interview me for a teaching/asst. girls basketball position. It would be nice... but it's kind of a drive.
It's late and I'd better be off to bed.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

The BIG 3 take the BIG #17! The CELTICS DYNASTY IS BACK!

What better way to finish up a 66 game season than to 1) beat the Lakers... 2) win at home... and 3) win by 39 POINTS... and 4)... that I GOT TO SEE IT! (on TV) I know that it took 3 superstars and a deep bench (how 'bout RONDO in game 6 with 21 points?!?!?!), BUT I'LL TAKE IT! Now all that's left is a Back-2-Back! Celtics Website

Take me out to the ball game...

Here are some pictures of the kids when we went to the Redhawks game the other night. We were way up in the nose-bleed seats (but the tickets were free). The kids had a pretty good time, but it was muggy and hot.
Great game and we won!

Got Updates?

No real idea what to title this one.... so here it goes....
1) Got my answer in the mail last Wed. about the Santa Fe job and I didn't get it. I was really disappointed because I thought that I had the job! I'm still kinda' bummed about it... but there's still a chance that something will open up this summer. Just have to keep waiting to see what happens.
2) Our AC that was fixed a couple of weeks ago, went down last Wed. Not too fun. Especially the money that they're probably going to charge us for the repair! But we have a cooler house and that's nice (not that you'd know... since it's raining and the high is supposed to be 76 today!).
3) Jeanise and I had a wonderful anniversary last Wednesday (although the SF news was a bummer). I was rather proud of myself. During the day, I texted her 14 reasons that I love her. Not going to share because those are personal... but I thought that it was pretty clever on my part.
4) Went up to Tulsa to visit Shane and Alice yesterday. It was great seeing them again. Sure do miss them here, but Shane has his Dream job (worship minister at Memorial Drive CoC) and is loving it. I think that he's been there for about 2 years and he is doing such a great service in that congregation.
Well... that's all on the home-front for now.

Getting there...

Well, I had my interview at Ed. Santa Fe today. It went really well (I thought) and I should find out whether or not I have the job by the end of the week. I'm relieved to know that the interview process is over... now (AGAIN) the waiting game brings it's dirty face. Keep prayin!
